9 Month Stats

Richard had his nine month check-up today. He is 30.5 inches long, weighed 19lbs 7oz, and his head circumference was 44cm. This puts him off the chart heightwise, and in the 35th and 25th percentiles for weight and head circumference. Clearly, we need to fatten him up. Sadly, he also had a double ear infection - poor guy! Hopefully he will only need one round of antibiotics this time around.

First Haircut

Today we took Richard for his first haircut. He was cool in the beginning, but I think the clippers really freaked him out. He is looking forward to seeing his playmate Lilian tomorrow, though, and I'm sure he'll be relieved to be having a good hair day.

Crawling!

Richard is taking a few tentative crawling "steps"... not full out yet, but definitely locomotion on hands and knees. Time to really step up the baby-proofing. The Goddard School takes pictures for us - here is what Richard has been up to when he's away from home. One day we accidentally dressed alike - how embarrassing!

Lesson #2

I've been reading "How to Photograph Your Baby" and it is really helping me I think. This and the previous batch of photos are better i think than what I was taking before. The message is: no flash, natural light, close-ups, and take lots and lots of pictures.
